I’m not a negative person, but when it comes to your retirement it’s my responsibility to keep your money as safe as possible. I want to remind you that when I build a retirement plan I take into consideration the reality of the next market correction. Our plan reduces your risk in layers. The first layer has no stock market risk and is the foundation of safety we need. The second layer is designed to have risk of no greater than 10%, which they have done very well at. From there, we diversify further with additional portfolio managers who mitigate risk in their own way. The end result is that we haven’t had to change very many of the plans that we’ve created. The process and plan is working.
If you are not a retirement client with Montini & Co Tax Advisory Group yet, I encourage you to contact us to simply learn more about our process. We are proficient in the use of video conferencing but also maintain an office that may be as sanitary as your doctor’s office. I even use a surgical grade mask to protect both you and me. The accumulation phase of your life is much different than the distribution phase that is your retirement. Make sure you are working with an advisor who respects and specializes in preservation of your assets. It’s never too late to review how your retirement assets are invested and make a change. All our clients are still invested, they are just invested in the things that do well in this current economic cycle. We are prepared for much more stock market volatility and I hope you are as well.
